“Triumph Over Breast Cancer” By Laleh Busheri is a book about the courage of women dealing with a difficult diagnosis.

This book helps to put a spotlight on a cancer that is so prevalent but if diagnosed and treated early can be cured. 

Women seldom share their personal challenges in public. So with an intention to raise awareness about breast cancer, author, Laleh Busheri decided to embark on detailing the battlesand triumphs of breast cancer patients who were treated at PCCM.(Prashanti Cancer Care Mission, a non-profit NGO)

Laleh narrates the stories of 23 women who successfully faced and overcame the biggest health challenge of their lives. She helps us to connect emotionally with the survivors who are from all walks of life and at times even amongst our friend circle and family.

Through the stories of cancer survivors, the author has actually brought alive the pain and trauma that they went through. Their stories highlight their courage and success in dealing with the diagnosis and getting the treatment needed. 

It gives us goosebumps to read about the exceptional manner, these women drew strength and power from within themselves and their surroundings, to finally emerge victorious in their battles with the deadly disease. 

The author also tries to increase awareness about the dreaded disease, provides correct information about diagnosis and the treatment protocols. 

Thanks to Laleh Busheri for this inspiring book, which I would highly recommend to all the ladies . It definitely gives us a lesson to fight for our life with all strength. 

“Triumph Over Breast Cancer” is thus a timely and much needed book, which acts as a support for the women and their families impacted by the disease and also gives them the courage to face the adversity with a very positive outlook.
