Second Chance is the author’s first book. It is a unique love story. The protagonist Ragini is a working, independent young woman, from a middle-class family whose first marriage with Kadamb fails. The actual story starts from there. It is a tale of a young woman in search of a soulmate yet one more time. She yearns for love, she has not lost hope in real love. She wants to play yet another inning. Unlike most Indian women who get scared of marrying a second time, Ragini is shown full of hope, full of life and positivity. She wants to fall in love once again. Will Ragini get her soulmate?

The language used in the novel is simple, the story has a great flow, nowhere it gets cumbersome. The character development is also fine. What problems actually a single, divorced woman goes through, one comes to know quite realistically through this novel. So, all in all, it is a good read, perfect for a weekend.
