Penning down our Fears…

A lot is being written and talked about Manifesting our Desires, writing and expressing our Gratitude and I cannot deny, it’s all good, maybe even fantastic…

…and then, I heard rather listened to a podcast by Aubrey Marcus, where he mentioned about writing down our fears… and I was Intrigued…

How Negative !! Assumedly, that’s the thought, right??…maybe…

but how about, not bracketing it as being positive and negative…how about considering a different perspective, in trying to truly understand our Primal instinct, to get to know the self better and overcoming that, which holds us back (unless it’s life-threatening– “and that’s my take”)…

We all know and we all have heard a million times, that Fear Sells…in-fact some even say that it’s easier to sell Fear than it is to sell Love (not romance), it’s easier to sell scepticism, than faith…so the idea to write down our fears, didn’t seem like such a bad idea…In-fact it just might be one of the greatest revolutions towards evolution…

for unless we acknowledge what we fear, we will never understand a large part of our own self…and unless we understand ourselves better, we cannot be compassionate towards the self and unless we are compassionate towards the self, we can never accept the self completely and unless that happens, it’s quite difficult to understand, accept and be compassionate towards the other…

and as had been profoundly quoted by Jiddu Krishnamurthy… “Man is not afraid of the Unknown, but he profoundly Fear’s the known coming to an end” and maybe there’s some truth in that…

and maybe, that’s why we even hear people say…

“It’s too good to be true”… and isn’t that worth pondering upon ??

Vulnerability and Shame researcher Brene Brown also says that people today are more afraid of Being Joyful for the fear of getting hurt and disappointed…and as quoted by her, “When we lose our capacity(tolerance) for Vulnerability,  Joy becomes foreboding “…

and as Sushmita Sen in her own “Sush way” had beautifully said… “I’m not afraid of getting hurt, I’m afraid of not loving…I’m not afraid of dying, I’m afraid of not living and I’m not afraid of being judged and criticised but I’m afraid of not respecting and accepting my won truth”…

and as the famous ad tag line says “kyuki dar ke aage jeet hain”…so let’s write down, understand and overcome our own fears to manifest our greatest desires…

Vaishali…
