Thank you 2019

Each day a rung,every year a ladder
I climb up trying to Zenith reach
My legs tremble and my feet ache
Give me more energy and health I beseech!

The chilling winter months my bones invade
Each step threatens to go astray
Gathering courage I venture to tread
My strength and my spirits show me the way.

A year has passed leaving its footprints deep
The showers of 2019 have drenched my soul
They gave me wisdom, wit and love
And took me a step further towards my goal
