Title: Let’s Save Mother Earth When We Still Can
Just a few decades ago
Mount Everest shone bright year round
Now even in autumn and spring
Most of it is black in want of snow
When I was a child
We drank directly from streams, rivers and lakes
Now all our water sources are poisoned
We have to drink treated bottled water
Not long ago
Our valleys were wide, green and lively
We had homes where peace and tranquillity reigned
Now they are just concretized prisons sad
Oh, this malodorous poisoned air!
Dark smog that cuts off the sun’s rays!
The cacophonous noise of machines’ reign!
I wonder if I’m really on Mother Earth!
In the destruction of the environment lies
Our own and all co-inhabitants destruction inevitable
Wake up now before it’s too late
To this wisdom clear and act
We brought about the Climate Change
We can still reverse it if we want
Let’s be conscious of our own crimes
And save Mother Earth for our children to come
